Services for Mrs. Mashek Held Sat.

Funeral services for Mrs. Grace C. Mashek were held at the Peet Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. James Davis officiating.

Mrs. Samuel M. Thomas and Mrs. Davis sang the "Old Rugged Cross" and "In the Garden" with Donald Keys as organist. Committal services were in charge of the B.P.O. Does. Bearers were: Arthur Thompson, Harry Fernau Sr., A.F. DeCastro, Roscoe Kilmer, Wm. Magoon and Don C. Taylor. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.

Grace Clara Ryder, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Ryder, was born at Albion, Nebr. June 25, 1880. She came to Wyoming at the age of eight and grew up near Rawhide Butte. She became a member of the Congregational Church in Lusk 68 years ago. January 1, 1895 she married Alexander A. Mashek and they homesteaded southeast of Lusk. They were the parents of seven children, six of whom survive. Mrs. Mashek was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary, B.P.O. Does, Royal Neighbors and the Cow Belles of Fremont County. She worked faithfully for the Society of Crippled Children and Adults of Wyoming. She had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Johnny Hill and Mr. Hill in Riverton for the last 20 years.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Charles Blagg of Lusk, Mrs. Hill and Mrs. Grace Fredrickson, Riverton, and Mrs. Irene Hirshman, Milaca, Minn; two sons, Joseph A. of Crawford and Arthur of Moab, Utah; a sister, Mrs. Arthur Root of Lusk; a brother, Frank Ryder, Ryegate, Mont.; 15 grand children, 25 great grandchildren and 1 great- great- grandchild.

MRS. MASHEK DIES TUESDAY

Mrs. Grace C. Mashek, 82, prominent pioneer of this area died in the Riverton Memorial Hospital Tuesday afternoon. She came to Wyoming March 1, 1889 and grew up near the Rawhide Butte.

Funeral services will be held at the Peet Chapel in Lusk at 2:00 p.m. Saturday.

Memorial services are being held at 10:00 a.m. today in Riverton.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. John Hill and Mrs. Grace Fredrickson of Riverton, Mrs. Irene Hirshman, Milaca, Minn. and Mrs. Chas. Blagg of Lusk; two sons, Arthur of Moab, Utah and Joe of Crawford.
