William Osborn Nuttall

Graveside services and interment for William Osborn Nuttall, 90, will be held Friday February 17, at 1:00 p.m. at the Douglas Park Cemetery in Douglas, Wyoming with Reverend Bill Moore of the First United Methodist Church and Pastor Delbert Dick of the American Missionary Fellowship officiating. Mr. Nuttall died Sunday, February 12, 1995 at the Converse County Memorial Hospital in Douglas.

Bill was born August 6, 1904 on Deer Creek south of Glenrock, Wyoming the son of William and Margaret (Hutchison) Nuttall. He received his education in Douglas. He worked as a cowboy on several ranches in Converse and Niobrara Counties. He took part in many rodeos and was noted for riding a chair on a bucking horse. On August 14, 1932 he was united in marriage with Catherine Dora Snyder in Douglas, Wyoming. They lived on their ranch north of Lost Springs for 55 years. They retired to Douglas in 1986, where he spent his retirement years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Wyoming Pioneer Association. He and Catherine played in the first Rawhide pageant for 20 years, and were enthusiastic square dancers and belonged to the Lance Creek Tangle Foot Club for over 35 years. He lived a life founded on faith, love, and happiness. He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Catherine, on September 23, 1993; one brother; two half brothers; and 5 half sisters.

A memorial to the Douglas Senior Center or to the Wyoming Pioneer Association would be appreciated by the family. The Converse Funeral Chapel of Douglas is in charge of the arrangements.
