Artemus Petty
Artemus Petty Dies in Omaha
Funeral service for Artemus C. Petty Jr., Igloo, was held June 25. Mr. Petty was a former resident of Lusk and Niobrara County.
He died June 20, at Omaha, Neb.
The Rev. Monte Sheppard officiated at the service held at the Vande Bossche Funeral Chapel in Edgemont with burial in the Edgemont Cemetery with military rites.
Mr. Petty was born May 15, 1916, in Edgemont. He was a World War II veteran and earned a Bronze Star and Purple Heart.
At the time of his death he was employed at the Black Hills Beef Palace in Igloo.
Surviving are his widow, Catharine, son Art, and two daughters, Frances and Donna Jo all of Igloo; three sisters, Clara Lee, San Bernardino, Calif., Helen and Jeannie Kocer of Hot Springs; his mother Mabel C. Petty of Hot Springs and one granddaughter.
