Vincent Pfister Laid At Rest in Lusk Cemetery Saturday Morning Following Requiem High Mass in St. Leo's Church

A high mass of requiem was sung by St. Leo's Choir in the Catholic Church, at ten o'clock Saturday morning, October 16th for the late Vincent Pfister. Rev. M. J. McBrien officiated at the funeral service.

Interment was made in the family plot in the Lusk Cemetery with the remains being borne to their final resting place by James Pfister, Jack Pfister, Richard Pfister, Henry Wasserburger, Jr., William Wasserburger, nephews of the deceased, and Roland Brown.

Vincent Pfister was born October 12, 1893 at the ranch home of his parents, John Pfister and Ella (Arnold) Pfister, prominent pioneers of eastern Wyoming and passed away at his birthplace on Wednesday, October 13, 1954 when he was suddenly and unexpectedly stricken with a heart attack that claimed his life. He had celebrated his 61st birthday anniversary the day preceding his demise.

He received his elementary schooling in Node, and attended high school in Junction City, Kansas. He was graduated from the Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, Indiana as a registered pharmacist. He preferred ranching and returned to his father's ranch near Node, and was living there at the time of his death. As a young man he was an active member of the Knights of Columbus.

The deceased was a man of high principles, his word being his bond. His ever willing helpfulness to assist his family and neighbors with their problems and work will always be remembered and cherished by them. His demise has created a voidness among them that will not be easily if ever filled.
