Funeral Service For Mrs. Albert Publow Are Held

Final rites for Mrs. Albert Publow of Jamestown, N.D., were held November 10 in the First Baptist Church in Jamestown with Rev. H. Walter Trim officiating. Burial was in Highland Home Cemetery.

Mrs. Publow died November 7 in St. Luke's Hospital at Fargo, N.D., after having been in failing health since June.

Mrs. Publow, the former Stella Irene Rasmussen, was born Sept. 20, 1922, at Pleasanton, Neb., the daughter of Mrs. and Mrs. James Rasmussen. She attended school in Nebraska and was graduated from Sioux County High School. Later, she taught in Nebraska for a few years. Her marriage to Albert Publow took place Sept. 18, 1941, at Gering, Neb., and they lived in Harrison prior to moving to Jamestown in 1965.

Mrs. Publow was a member and former deaconess in the First Baptist Church in Jamestown and taught a Sunday school class. She also taught the Good News Club at the Crippled Children's School. She was a charter member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7970 in Harrison.

She is survived by her husband; five children, Joseph Publow, Mrs. Jerry Hieb (LaWanna) and Mrs. Larry Wegner (Margo) all of Valley City, N.D., Cathy and Mark Publow at home; two grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Percy Yoakum (Edna) Chadron, Neb., Mrs. Emerson Buckley (Lilly), Harrison and Pauline Rasmussen, Denver; and two brothers Paul Rasmussen of Denver and Lawrence Rasmussen of Brunswick, Neb. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister.

Mrs. Loren Ordal was organist for the service; Misses Becky and Linda Johnson sang "Beyond The Sunset" and "Under His Wings." Pallbearers were Warren Bettenhausen, Gothilf Juengling, Adam Witmer, August Gunsch, Wilmer Wahl, Fred Bitz.

Those attending the funeral from Harrison were Mrs. Emerson Buckley, Mrs. Dale Jordan, Mrs. Ruth Hall, and Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Publow; from Chadron, Mr. and Mrs. Percy Yoakum; and Mrs. Dick Hall from Fargo.
