Last Rites Held for Pat Corbin
Louis C. (Pat) Corbin, 63, died of a self inflicted gunshot wound approximately at 9:00 a.m. December 13 at his ranch 11 miles south of Harrison.
County officers said the body was found about 11:00 a.m. by Wayne Copp who had been working at the ranch.
Lewis Calvin Corbin
Lewis Calvin Corbin, Sioux County rancher, died December 13 at age 63.
He was born July 17, 1909, in Sioux County, to Elmus and Katherine Corbin. He grew up and attended school in Sioux County. On June 29, 1933, he was married to Mathilda M. Rasmussen at Hot Springs. Three children were born.
He was a member of Sioux Lodge 277, Sioux Chapter 3l9 Order of Eastern Star, Nebraska Stock Growers Association, and the Memorial United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, one brother and one sister. He is survived by the three children: Patricia (Mrs. Joe) Nunn, Harrison; Bill K. of O'Neill, Neb; and Elmus L. of Clarkston, Wash.; 13 grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services were held Saturday at Memorial United Methodist Church in Harrison with the Rev. Larry Shrout officiating. Burial was in the Harrison Cemetery. A quartet of Todd King, Larry Todd, Jay Coffee and Steve Haworth, accompanied by Mrs. Robert Todd, sang "A Mighty Fortress Is Our God" and "Abide With Me."
Pallbearers were Donald Mack, Martin Marshall, Ted King, John Skavdahl, Marvin Buckley and Richard Sharp. Honorary bearers were Elmer Pullen, Fred Hamaker, Robert Mann, Kenneth Watson and Clarence Schnurr.
Masonic rites were conducted by members of the Harrison Masonic Lodge.
