Former resident dies in Evanston
The funeral for Dorothy Hales Schwab was last Saturday in Evanston.
Mrs. Schwab was born June 30, 1924 on the Hales' ranch 30 miles northeast of Hat Creek. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Hales. She attended elementary school on the ranch and graduated from the Manville school in 1941.
Since retiring from a civil service position in Denver, Mrs. Schwab has lived in Fort Bridger and Evanston. She married Chuck Schwab Sept. 25, 1968. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. Schwab died at the Fremont Hotel in Evanston where she had lived and worked for the past six years.
Survivors include her mother, Mrs. Lee Hales of Casper; brothers, Wayne of Casper and Warren of Cody and Bill and Edward Hales of Lusk. Eight nieces and two nephews also survive.
