The nearby hills, which may be seen from great distances, are known as Seaman Hills. The name was derived from the location of the Seaman ranch. Two brothers, Clement and Ollie, were born at the ranch. The family later moved to a ranch just over the state line into Nebraska near Harrison.

He married Elizabeth Whitman, August 7, 1930. They worked on the ranch with his parents and brother Ollie until 1948 when they moved to Harrison. He did trucking until 1958 when they bought a home in Lusk where he retired, and Mrs. Seaman owned and operated The Diner.

He was a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows No. 318 of Harrison for many years.

His parents and one brother, Clement, died previously.

Survivors include his widow, Elizabeth of the family home, one brother, Ollie of Harrison, three nieces and one nephew.
