Julia "Judy" McKelvey
Funeral services for Julia "Judy" McKelvey, 51, were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, at the First United Methodist Church, with Reverend Marilyn McGraw officiating. Burial followed at 1 p.m. in the Harrison Cemetery at Harrison, Neb.
Memorial gifts to the Cancer Patients Memorial Fund, % Dr. Packard, Two West 42nd, Scottsbluff, Neb. 69361, or the Little League Parent Group would be equally appreciated by the family.
Mrs. McKelvey died at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff on Feb. 2.
She was born Feb. 26, 1941 at Lusk, the daughter of Ollie and Hazel (Whitman) Seaman. She attended school at Harrison and graduated from Sioux County High School at Harrison in 1958.
She married Don McKelvey in Harrison on Sept. 8, 1962, and they have lived in various areas in Wyoming, including Casper, Van Tassell, and Wheatland, and in Nebraska in Crawford and Morrill.
They moved to Torrington in 1971. She was employed at the Snubbing Post until July of 1992.
She was a member of the Methodist Church at Harrison; and in Torrington she was a member of the Starlite Bowling League; secretary of the Goshen County Riding and Roping Club; and was very active in the Little League Support Group.
She is survived by her husband, Don of Torrington; two daughters, Kristeen Cundall of Kemmerer, Wyo. and Darci Scott of Douglas, Wyo.; a son, Ross McKelvey of Torrington; two sisters, Shirley Hladly of Lusk and Olita Zimmerman of Harrison; and three grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one infant sister.
The casket will be closed. The Colyer Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
