Della May Rogers, daughter of Elijah and Roseanna Rogers, was born May 25, 1875 near New Sharon, IA. When she was five years old the family moved to western Nebraska where she grew to young womanhood. She married Albert Sims June 15, 1898 and they were the parents of four children. Soon after their marriage the young couple came to Wyoming, locating at Manville. Because of the severe winters, they moved north to 20 Mile Creek where they lived until Mr. Sims' health forced them to leave the ranch. They lived in Lusk until Mr. Sims' death in 1943. Since that time she made her home at Lost Springs with her daughter, Mrs. Henry Amend. She had just returned from a trip to California, visiting her daughter and sister for a few months. Mrs. Sims had been a member of the First Congregational Church of Lusk since 1942.

She is survived by a son, Cecil R. Sims of Byron, Mich.; three daughters, Mrs. Amend of Lost Springs, Mrs. Delberta Simpson of Madera, Calif. and Mrs. Beryl Fullerton of Lusk; a sister, Mrs. Iola Stafford of Madera, Calif.; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
