Maxine Federle Burnaugh
A graveside service will be held at the Lusk Cemetery for Maxine Federle Burnaugh, formerly of Harrison, Neb. Mrs. Burnaugh died on May 27, 2001 in Bakersfield, Calif.
Her ashes will be interred beside her late husband, Frank Burnaugh of Lusk, Wyoming.
Mrs. Burnaugh was born March 19, 1918 in Harrison, Neb. She was the daughter of Francis Federle and Lillie Larson. She was the daughter and granddaughter of immigrants.
She graduated from Sioux County High School and the University of Nebraska, where she was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority.
She married Frank Burnaugh on September 20, 1938 at the house of her mother and step-father Howard O'Shea.
She is survived by three children, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She retired in Bakersfield, Calif., after a teaching career in the Greenfield School District. Many of the medical personnel who cared for her in her last weeks were her former elementary students.
All those who knew Maxine are invited to the graveside memorial service.
