Two More Men Are Killed in Germany

The surrender in Germany came too late to save the lives of two more local men fighting in Germany.

Word was received here by relatives on Saturday that Corporal Reinholdt H. Klemke was killed in action in Germany, April 21.

His parents, Mr. and Mrs. August Klemke, reside at Snyder, Neb., and received the customary telegram from the War Department on May 3rd. No other details as to how Cpl. Klemke met his death were given.

He was a former resident of Lusk and well known here, as he worked at the carpenter trade with Oscar Bostrom for about a year and a half.

Surviving him in this immediate vicinity are his brother, Emil Klemke, and two sisters, Mrs. P.J. Owens and Mrs. Martin Glandt, besides many cousins and other ralatives. Besides his parents he has three sisters and five brothers residing elsewhere. One of the brothers is with the Third Army in Europe.

Cpl. Klemke went overseas last September and for a time acted as an interpreter, but it is thought he was serving with the medical corps rescuing wounded men from the battlefield when he was killed.

(This article continues about the other young man killed, Cpl. Alfred L. Schutt.)
