Glen L. Wilson, Former Lusk Railroad Worker, Passes Away at Home Wednesday

Glen L. Wilson, 53 years old, Lusk carpenter and concrete contractor, who has worked on many residences in Lusk recently, passed away at his home here at 1:00 o'clock Wednesday morning. He had been in poor health for several months, being a sufferer from anemia and cancer.

Funeral services were held at the Peet Mortuary this Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, with Rev. Geo. Jenkins officiating. Pallbearers were Benny Updike, Ray Renz, C.A. Paisley, J. B. Griffith, Don Taylor and John Rice. Interment was made at the Lusk Cemetery.

Singers were Yvonne Vogel and Charlene Scace and were accompanied on the piano by Phyllis Murphy. They rendered "Abide With Me" and "Rock of Ages."

Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife and one daughter, Annabelle, aged 12, also by his aged mother in Rutledge, Missouri; two brothers and one sister in Missouri, and one sister in Virginia. Two step-daughters, Mrs. Bud Butler and Miss Ada Robey of Lusk, also survive.

Mr. Wilson for many years was engaged in railroad work, serving in different positions, but principally as an engineer. In 1925 he worked as an engineer out of Lusk, and also in the same capacity here when the Northwestern division terminal was located in Lusk. He then lived elsewhere for eleven years, returning to Lusk in May of 1936, and has made his home here since that time, being engaged as a concrete contractor and carpenter.

He was converted to the Christian faith and has been a member of the Congregational Church since early youth.

Relatives from out of town attending the funeral were Mrs. Lula Eadon, a sister of Mrs. Wilson, and a brother, Ed Perry, and their mother, Mrs. Perry, all of Gordon, Nebr.

Interment was made in the Lusk Cemetery.

Mr. Wilson was born at Memphis, Tennessee, on January 20, 1884, the son of John and Amanda Wilson.
