Janice E. Krein

Janice E. Krein, age 63, of Lusk passed away at her home on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2006. A funeral service was held at 2 p.m., Monday, Feb. 6, 2006, at the Niobrara County Fairgrounds Auditorium in Lusk with Pastor Tom Strock of The First Baptist Church in Lusk officiating. Interment was followed in the Lusk Cemetery.

Janice was born at the old Spencer Hospital in Lusk on Aug. 13, 1942, to Jim and Della Parmely McAllister. She was raised on the Joss Ranch at 20 mile. She was educated in Lusk schools and graduated from the Niobrara County High School in 1960. She attended cosmetology school in Scottsbluff, Neb. She later became a waitress for Norm and Cathy Brillhart at the Southside Cafe/Fireside Inn until ill health forced her to retire.

She married Johnny Krein on Feb. 15, 1975, and they shared two children.

Her hobbies were her two grandsons, family, friends and her special dog Ozzy. She was a kind hearted, outgoing woman that loved to help others.

She is survived by her husband of thirty years, two children; Tonya of Casper and Jim of Wheatland; two grandchildren, Justin and Brandon of Wheatland; one uncle, Glen Parmely of Lusk; one aunt, Tillie Parmely and family of Manville; numerous brothers and sister-in -law, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Her parents and numerous aunts and uncles preceded her in death.

Memorials have been designated to the Lusk Ambulance Service or the Lusk Volunteer Fire Department.

Cicmanec-Pier Funeral Home of Lusk is in charge of the arrangements.
