L. P. Cox of Keeline Passes Away Tues.

The sudden death of L. P. Cox, 69, of Keeline, came as a shock to relatives and friends Tuesday evening.

Mr. Cox had been in his usual good health during the day and had been in Lusk on business, as he recently sold his ranch north of Keeline and was preparing to move into Keeline on Thursday.

He visited many of the neighbors during the day and retired about 8:30. He evidently suffered a cerebral hemorrhage soon after retiring, and was brought to the Lusk Hospital as soon as his condition was discovered, but he survived only about six hours.

Funeral services will likely be held Saturday or Sunday, pending word from his son, Herman, who is in the service.

Mr. Cox has been a resident of the Keeline community for many years, where he is well and favorably known. He is survived by his wife, four sons, Kenneth, Herman, Clifford and Burnice, and two daughters, Mrs. Helen Coleman of Keeline and Mrs. Marjorie Ross of Lusk.

Note: Although the Tuesday referred to in this obituary would be October 30, the Lusk Cemetery records, and Jessie Cox's obituary both state the date of death as October 31, 1945. The Jireh Cemetery Records indicate that his body was transferred to the Lusk Cemetery.
