Harriet Heumier

Funeral services for Harriet Heumier, age 76, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan, 7, at Bader Funeral Home with Pastor Harold King of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Lusk officiating. Burial followed in the Lusk Cemetery.

Harriet died Wednesday, Jan. 4, 1995, at the United Medical Center in Cheyenne. She was born Sept. 20, 1918, in Lusk, the daughter of Charles and Faye Heumier. She grew up on the homestead northwest of Lusk. After graduating from high school, she worked at the Lusk State Bank for several years. She then went to Langley Field for a short while and then went to Washington, D.C. to work for Senator Frank Barrett, who was also a former Wyoming congressman and governor. She also worked for Representative Hal Homes and Representative Catherine May.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Chuck Heumier.

Survivors include two brothers, Don Heumier of Coeur D'Alene, Idaho, and Bob Heumier of Torrington; and one sister-in-law, Ruth Heumier of Spokane, Wash.

Bader Funeral Home of Lusk was in charge of arrangements.
