FATHER OF MRS. CHAS. HEUMIER PASSES AWAY

Q.Q. Mershon, 83 Years Old, Who Died Here Last Thursday, Buried in the Lusk Cemetery

Q.Q. Merschon, aged 83, passed away at the ranch home of his daughter, Mrs. Charles Heumier, last Thursday afternoon.

Funeral services were held from the Congregational Church of Lusk Sunday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock, the Rev. Fred W. Martin of Manville officiating. A large crowd of friends paid their final respect by attending the service.

Music was furnished by a mixed quartette composed of Mrs. Ab DeCastro, Mrs. H.J. Templeton, Alger Johnson and C. C. Browning, accompanied by Mrs. J.B. Parr.

The pallbearers were Glen Osborn, Frank Wilson, Roy Beard, Ed Schroefel, Conrad Larson and Jim Bentley.

Funeral arrangements were in charge of the Peet Mortuary, with burial in the Lusk cemetery.

Mrs. Merschon has been in declining health for some time, but came down from his home in Casper only a few weeks ago to visit with his daughter.

OBITUARY
Quin Quincy Mershon was born in Indiana, in August, 1848, and went to rest at his daughter's home near Lusk, Wyo., April 28, 1932, aged 83 years, 8 months and 9 days. His early life was spent in Indiana, Iowa, Missouri and Kansas. He was married to Tabitha Dils, February 11, 1872, in Lebanon, Boone County, Indiana. To this union were born four children, all of whom survive - W. F. of Casper, Wyo.; Grace Tweedy of Marion, Mich.; Guy of Crawford, Nebraska, and Faye Heumier of Lusk, Wyo. Most of their married life was spent in Indiana, coming to Harrison, Neb., in October, 1913, and then moving to Casper, Wyo., March, 1916, where they have since resided. Mr. Mershon leaves to miss his loving voice and kindly ways, besides his aged wife and four children, twelve grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and a host of friends.

He was always affiliated with the Methodist Episcopal Church from his early manhood. His father was a Methodist minister in the pioneer days in Indiana.
