Fae Lynn

Funeral for Mrs. Lynn Held Friday

Funeral services were held Friday from the Peet Chapel for Mrs. Fae Lynn, 77, who died September 7 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Robert Scott. Mrs. Lynn had been ill with a heart condition for the past two years.

The Rev. C. W. Jervis of the First Baptist Church officiated and Eastern Star conducted services at the Chapel.

Mrs. J. P. Watson was the organist. Mrs. Lyle Eddy, Mrs. A. F. DeCastro, Rick Kilmer and Clark Germann sang, "The Unclouded Day", "When the Roll is Called" and "Beyond the Sunset".

Pallbearers were: Charles Hanson, Ed Lang, John Goddard, Edmond Cook, Herbert Sabin and George Christian.

Honorary pallbearers were: Ferd Price, Charles Podolak, C. E. Marvin, Gilbert Brinckerhoff, Fred Hansen, Joe Kuhn, Bunt Alter and Stanley Hoy.

Fae Harvey was born August 26, 1887 south of Nenzel, Nebr. the daughter of William W. Harvey and Martha E. Rightmire. She attended schools in South Sioux City, Nebr. and was a graduate of Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing in Sioux City, Iowa with the class of 1911. She practiced nursing in Iowa, South Dakota, Nebraska and Wyoming for nearly 50 years.

In 1914 she came to Wyoming and homesteaded in northern Goshen County. She and Lewis M. Lynn were married in 1915. She lived on the homestead until 1940 when she moved to Lusk.

Mrs. Lynn was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lusk until 1957 when she moved to Iowa and transferred her membership to the Methodist Church of Marcus, Iowa. She was also a member of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by two sons, Dale of Marcus and Lewis of Ogallala, Nebr.; one daughter, Mrs. Robert Scott of Hat Creek; two sisters, Mrs. Maude Church of South Sioux City and Mrs. Wilma Williams of Seattle; two brothers, Frank W. Harvey of Monroe, Wash. and Jack Harvey of Seattle; and ten grandchildren.
