Aaron C. Frye

Aaron C. Frye, a resident of Manville for nearly 25 years, died Saturday at Natrona County Memorial Hospital in Casper following a short illness.

Frye was born June 26, 1920, in Elgin, Neb., the second son of Lyle and Mae Frye. He married Cathryn Clair Canady on April 15, 1940, in Hay Springs, Neb. and they "were married for time and eternity in the Salt Lake City Temple on December 2, 1968".

The Fryes moved to Manville in 1956 where Aaron was employed by the Fish and Wildlife Service for predator control for 15 years. In recent years, he was engaged in business with his son Merlin in the operation of Frye's Hide and Fur in Douglas.

Aaron was baptized a member of the Church of Latter Day Saints on April 6, 1952, and he served as the President of the Lusk branch from 1974-1978.

Funeral service was Tuesday at the Peet Mortuary with President Larid D. Johnson, Lusk of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints officiating. Speaker was Bob Chynoweth and the eulogy was by Johnny D. McCoy.

Minerva Watson was organist, while the duet of Sharon Christensen and Lori Johnson sang, "How Firm a Foundation" and "Come Ye Disconsolate."

Interment was at the Lusk Cemetery with dedication of the grave by Larid Johnson. Active casket bearers were; Lloyd Tschacher, Floyd Alexander, Clifford Parmely, Russell Christensen, Clarence Mason and Burdette Golden.

Memorials may be sent to the Crippled Children's' Hospital, Salt Lake City.

Frye was preceded in death by an infant son Dennis, his father, E. Carlyle "Lyle" Frye, and a brother Myron.

He is survived by his wife, Clair; a son Merlin of Douglas; two daughters, Jerri Barret of Casper and Sarah Munson of Lisbon, Iowa, his mother, Mae Frye, Lusk; a sister, Marion Halligan, Lusk; two brothers, Willard, Lusk; and Reuben, Chadron; and fifteen grandchildren.
