Services for Bill Barnes held Wed.

Funeral services were held last Wednesday for William (Bill) Barnes, 50, who died June 6 at the Veterans Hospital in Omaha. Peet Mortuary was in charge and burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.

Allen E. Page, pastor of the Lusk Open Bible Church, officiated. Mrs. J. P. Watson, organist, accompanied Mrs. A. F. De Castro and Mrs. Dean Glandt as they sang "Mansion Over the Hill Top" and "The Old Rugged Cross".

Casket bearers were Gene Perry, Gary McFarlane, Hank Pfister, Ray Jenkins, Ray Olafson and Clifford Blaney.

Bill Barnes was born October 9, 1918 in Neligh, Nebr., the son of Eunice May and Reason John Barnes. His family moved to Lusk in 1920. He served four years in the U.S. Army during World War II. He married Mary Buck in Rapid City July 25, 1957.

Survivors include his widow; one son, Billy of the family home; two step-daughters, Mrs. Naomi Coen of Prineville and Mrs. Nellie Pfister of Lusk; four granddaughters and one great-granddaughter.
