Augusta Kegal Barrett
Augusta Kegal Barrett, a long-time Sedona resident, died Jan. 16 at Marcus J. Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Cottonwood. She was born in Phillipsburg, KS, Aug. 3, 1906.
Mrs. Barrett moved to Sedona in 1965 from Colorado. She was a real estate and insurance broker in Boulder for many years. She was a past board member of the Sedona Art Barn and was active in the Girls' Ranch Auxiliary and the Sedona Republican Women's Club.
She is survived by her son, William Hogan of Tiburon, CA; daughter Mikell Lawrence of Camp Verde; sister Mabel Moulton of Boise, ID; niece Charlene Scoggin of Boulder; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The family requests memorials be sent to the Sedona Girls' Ranch Auxiliary, c/o June Farabee, P.O. Box 1675, Sedona.
