W.R. Brown Dies at Home

William Rose Brown, 77 years old, a resident of this section of Wyoming since 1914, died last Saturday, December 3, at his home, about four miles west of the Wolfe ranch, after an illness lasting for several weeks.

Funeral services were held from the Universal Undertaking Parlors Monday afternoon interment being made in the Lusk Cemetery. Rev. N.C. Coggin officiated at the services, the pallbearers being Maj. A.H. Beach, O.P Harnagel, John Harkin, George Saffel, R.I. Olinger and John Snethen. Music was furnished by a trio composed of Mrs. Glen Willson, Mrs. Geo. Held and R.A. Faulk, with Miss Alice Fowler as accompanist.

Obituary
William Rose Brown was born in Deposit, Cataragus county, New York, on October 6, 1850, and his boyhood was spent there. He moved with his parents to Iowa and spent his youth and early manhood when Iowa was a frontier state. In 1873 he was married to Miss Anna J. Scott. Shortly after marriage he with his wife moved to Nebraska settling in Nance county, living there until 1914, when he moved to Wyoming.

Surviving Mr. Brown are his wife, Mrs. Anna J. Brown, aged 75; four sons, Ralph Brown of Fullerton, Neb.; Art, Carl and Ray Brown, all of Lusk. All four of the sons attended the funeral here Monday.
