Earl Boner Dies Funeral Here This Thursday

Funeral service for Earl Roy Boner, 43, will be held this Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at the Congregational Church with the Rev. Robert Boutwell conducting the service. Mr. Boner died Monday at his home in Lusk.

Mrs. Gerald Bardo, organist. will accompany a quartet composed of Mrs. Bob Bramlet, Mrs. Walter Fernau, Lee Johnsonbaugh and Harry Lyon singing "In the Garden" and "Rock of Ages". Graveside military rites will be conducted at the Lusk Cemetery by Weiten Dupes Post No. 4 of the American Legion. The Peet Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Casket bearers will be Leonard DeGering, John DeGering, Ed Boner, Jim Boner, all of Lusk, Glen Blakeley, Newcastle and Charles Simmons, Edgemont.

Earl Roy Boner was born April 4, 1929, at Hot Springs, S.D., the son of Edith and Roy Boner. He was educated at Edgemont and graduated from the high school there in 1947. He was a U. S. Army veteran, serving one year in Japan during the Korean War. He was married to Ruth L. Gies August 9, 1964.

He is survived by his wife, a daughter, Barbara, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Boner of Edgemont, two brothers, Herman of Casper and Gary of Rapid City and one sister, Maxine Schmidt of Edgemont.

The family has requested that memorials be made to the Niobrara County Children's Library.
