Margaret M. Hitz Haight
Graveside services for Margaret M. Hitz Haight, age 96, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, 1990, in the Lusk Cemetery with Rev. Mark Lohr officiating.
Haight died Friday, Dec. 7, 1990, at the Ponderosa Villa Nursing Home in Crawford, Neb. She was born Oct. 5, 1894, at Tulare, S. D., the daughter of Herman and Maria Hitz.
In 1927 she married Oscar Chard at Ardmore, S. D. They lived on the family ranch until 1942, when Oscar passed away. She then moved to Denver, Colo., and worked at Saint Luke's Hospital where she was a licensed practical nurse for 12 years.
She later moved to Rock Springs, Wyo., where she operated a small grocery store until 1952 when she returned to the family ranch. She married again and later moved to Lusk.
Besides her husband, her parents, four brothers and seven sisters preceded her in death.
Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews.
