Marie Catherine Mauch Frosheiser

Marie Catherine Mauch Frosheiser, age 89, passed away Monday, May 15, 2000 at West Park Long Term Care Center in Cody. She was born October 22, 1910 in Vivian, S. D., the daughter of Oswald and Agnes (Hitz) Mauch.

Marie taught school in six different country schools from 1930 to 1938.

She married Conrad Frosheiser on June 11, 1938 in Keeline, Wyo. Marie and Connie moved from Lusk to Cody in 1942. Mr. Frosheiser owned and operated Yellowstone Electric for more than 40 years until retiring in 1973.

Marie was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She was actively involved with her church, Scouts, community concerts and raising her family. She enjoyed gardening, traveling with her husband and spending winters in Ariz.

Her survivors include a daughter, Donna Florida of Cody; two granddaughters and their husbands, Jennifer and Roger Templin and Stacie and Mike Brault; two grandsons, Rob and Dylan Templin; and a daughter-in-law Alice Frosheiser. Marie was preceded in death by her husband on January 21, 1996; a son, Terry on November 25, 1997; a granddaughter Michelle Florida on October 6, 1984; her parents; and four sisters Martha Coleman, Ruth Reed, Esther Forsyth and Agnes Mauch.

Funeral services for Mrs. Frosheiser will be at 3 p.m. Friday, May 19 at Ballard Funeral Home with interment following in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 18 at Ballard's.
