Frank C. Dolce Dies Here Christmas Eve

Sixty-nine year old Frank Charles Dolce, Cody resident since 1940, died at the W.R. Coe Memorial Hospital, Tuesday, December 24 where he had been a patient for four days.

Dolce, who operated the Modern Shoe Shop until his recent retirement, was born in Metlika, Austria on January 9, 1888. He was the son of John and Barbara Dolce.

When he was one year old he came to the United States. On October 1, 1914, he was married in Douglas, Wyoming to Inez Ethel Voorhees. He had been a state resident since 1912.

Mr. Dolce farmed for 30 years and was engaged in shoe repair business.

Surviving besides his wife, Inez, are four children: Mrs. Dorothy Freudenthal, Thermopolis, Mrs. Marjory Dumont, Lewisville, Colorado, Mrs. Betty Brummond, Cody, and Floyd Dolce, LaHabra, California. Two brothers, Joe and Mike, both of Spaulding, Nebraska and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Crick, Spaulding and Mrs. Lena Barres, Monroeville, Ohio, and ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive.

Private funeral services were conducted Friday, December 27 at 100 a.m. from the First Baptist church in Cody with the Rev. Lester Mingel officiating. Burial was in Riverside.

Mrs. William Wibel accompanied Bob Rice who sang "In The Garden" at the services.

Pallbearers were Harold Lee, Ray Sanvold, Bob Claycomb, Joe Marshall, Faye McCumber and Abner Busler.
