A huge thank you to everyone who participated and purchased Krispy Kreme doughnuts! The foundation raised $1296.00 towards the Kresge Challenge Grant goal of $250,000. The remainder of the challenge, $94,463.76 must be met by December of this year. The Friends of the Library also had a very successful bake sale and extend their gratitude to everyone who brought baked goods as well as those who purchased! Thank you!

New books in the adult library include “Voyageurs” by Margaret Elphinstone, “Dark Justice” by Jack Higgins, “Body Double” by Terr Gerritsen, “The Snow Pit” by Reuben Bercovitch, “White Hot” by Sandra Brown, “Hunting Fear” by Kay Hooper, “Atkins Diabetic Revolution” by Robert C. Atkins, “Listening to Stone” by Wyoming author Janet S. Meury, and “When Fish Fly” by Jake Yokoyama.

For the young adult, there is “The Merchant of Death,” “The Never War,” “The Reality Bug” and “Black Water”by D. J. McHale.

Our junior reader’s will enjoy “Eager Star,” “Bold Beauty,” “Midnight Mystery” and “Unhappy Appy”by Dandi Daley Mackall.

For our younger readers, there is “I am Too Absolutely Small for School” by Lauren Child and “The Dangerous Deep” by Leslie Goldman.

“Give a Hoot!” is the theme for Storyhour on Tuesday, October 12, 2004. Storyhour is held each Tuesday throughout the year from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m children 3 through kindergarten.
