Library News

New books are added to our library on a regular basis, you can see recent additions by going to our online catalog and choosing New Items at Your Library, this section includes books that were added in the previous calendar month and lists media material as well as children’s books. This past fiscal year 2,639 items were added to the library. This number breaks down to 1,879 donated books and media and 760 items purchased through the library budget. Our donors are extremely valuable in our ability to provide library service. We extend our sincerest thanks to all of you.

Winners of the Niobrara County Library Foundation’s Monday Night Football book are listed on the library’s website at https://www.niobraracountylibrary.org under Upcoming Events.

New books in the adult library include Christian fiction titles, “A Love Woven True” by Tracie Peterson and “Secrets of the Wind” by Stephanie Grace Whitson as well as several other must-reads such as “The Architect” by Keith Ablow, “Sweetwater Creek” by Anne Rivers Siddons, “The Cinderella Hour” by Katherine Stone, “Good-Bye Judge Lynch” by John W. Davis, “The Wyoming Camping Guide” by Marc Smith, “Storm Over Texas” by Joel H. Silby and “Eat Carbs, Lose Weight” by Denise Austin.

For the young adult, there is “Best Friends for Never” by Lisi Harrison.

Our junior readers will enjoy “Once Upon a Marigold” by Jean Ferris, “Zayda Was a Cowboy” by Jane Levitt Nislick and “The Demon at River Heights” by Stephen Petrucha.

Our younger readers will enjoy “The Grand Tournament” by Daniel Lipowitz.

“Something’s Fishy” is the theme for Storyhour on Tuesday, October 11, 2005. Storyhour is held every Tuesday throughout the year for children ages three through kindergarten.
