The first of three Reading is Fundamental (RIF) programs will be held on Wednesday, February 14 from 6:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Children preschool through the sixth grade are invited to join the fun sponsored by the Friends of the Library. A skit based on the book, “Happy Valentine’s Day, Miss Hildy” by Lois Grambling will be performed by FBLA students. Valentine crafts and snacks will be included as well as the opportunity for each child attending to select their very own book. Books will be given away at the next two programs (March 14 and April 11) as well. If you have questions or would like more information please call or stop by the library.

Junior readers will enjoy “Who Broke Lincoln’s Thumb?” by Ron Roy and “Kitten in the Candy Corn” by Ben M. Baglio.
Our youngest readers will be sure to like “The Gully Washer” by Joyce Rossi, “From Poppa” by Anne Carter, “The Chief’s Blanket” by Michael Chanin and “Fluffy: Scourge of the Sea” by Teresa Bateman.
A “Valentine’s Day Party!” will be held during Storyhour on Tuesday, February 13, 2007.
Storyhour is held every Tuesday from 10 to 11 p.m. for children ages 3 through kindergarten.
