Cafes and Restaurants: Ranger Coffee Shop

The Lusk Herald, May 1, 1958
Coffee Shop Will Be Installed in Ranger
Work will start this Thursday on a modern and attractive coffee shop in the Ranger Hotel. It is planned to have the business open by June 1.
W.H. Powell has leased the premises formerly occupied by Olingers clothing store to Monroe Bixler of Harrison. Mr. Bixler has announced that the business will be operated by Mrs. William Davis and Mrs. Bud Payne.
The quarters formerly housed the Ranger Coffee Shop which was operated by Mr. and Mrs. Roy Chamberlain prior to World War II. The coffee Shop then had a regional reputation for excellence.
The quarters will undergo extensive remodeling. A door between the lobby and coffee shop will be cut and double glass doors installed. Double glass doors will also be installed in the front entrance. The decorative stone which is on the exterior of the portions of the lobby and Flower Nook will be extended to include the coffee shop. The interior will be in a western theme.
Accordion style doors will be installed so that a section of the room may be partitioned off for an banquet room. Oscar E. Bostrom, Lusk contractor, will do the work.
