Silver Cliff Hotel was recreated as a quilt square by The Bag Ladies for their Historic Quilt in 2001.

The hotel was built in 1918 or 1919 by John W. Agenw, Robert Ord, Bill Miller and Henry Petz, a group of investors. It changed hands by trading to Quartus M. Skinner of Gordon, NE. for a ranch there in 1922. O. E. Stratton was in charge until the new owner took over. In 1925 A.C. Johnston bought the hotel and sold it to P.P. Brown and his wife Carrie, in 1926. Carrie managed the hotel for many years. They sold it to Roy Chamberlain in 1946. the hotel, located on Second and Pine Streets, was a very popular stopping place. An advertisement in The Lusk Herald in 1936 read, "You will always find the SILVER CLIFF HOTEL homelike. It is located one block from the business district, which gives you Quietness, yet you will be near the heart of the town."
