Dorothy Ruth Himes
Graveside services for Dorothy Ruth Himes, age 57, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, 1990, at the Lusk Cemetery with Rev. Mark Lohr officiating.
She died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 1990, at the Niobrara County Memorial Hospital in Lusk following a bout with cancer. She was born May 29, 1933, at Casper, Wyo., the daughter of George E. and Ruth Dobson. The family moved to Lance Creek where she attended school in the Lance Creek area and graduated from Niobrara County High School.
She married Milton Himes of Lusk in 1956 and had four children from this marriage; Bobbie Stallman of Bakersfield, Calif., Cheri Keller of Lusk, David Himes of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Bruce Himes of Lusk. She later made a home with John E. Maloney also of Lusk, and had one daughter, Jennifer D. Himes of Lusk.
She was preceded in death by her father, George E. Dobson.
Besides her children, she is survived by her mother, Ruth Dobson of Casper; three brothers, Denny Dobson of Lusk, Steve Dobson of Casper, and Neil Dobson of Ardmore, Okla.; her long-time companion, John Maloney of Lusk; 10 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial to the choice of the donor would be appreciated by the family.
