Former Local Woman Passes Away at Omaha; Body of Mrs. Anna McMichael Brought To Lusk For Burial; Funeral Services conducted from Baptist Church Wednesday Afternoon; Rev. Smith Officiates

It was with sorrow that Lusk friends learned of the sudden death of Mrs. Anna McMichael, age 28, at her home in Omaha, Friday, March 12, 1926.

The deceased was the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Mashek, who are among the old timers in this part of Wyoming, having living on what is now the C.E. Hunter ranch for about thirty years.

Anna Marcella Mashek was born in Lusk in 1898, attended the schools here and grew to young womanhood in our midst, where she had a large circle of friends. In June 1914 she was married to Fred McMichael and to this union three children were born: Margaret, 10; Raymond, 6; and Mary, 5. Shortly after their marriage they moved to Omaha where they have since resided.

The husband accompanied the remains which arrived in Lusk Tuesday morning and funeral services were held from the Baptist church Wednesday afternoon with Rev. John Smith officiating. Several numbers of special music were rendered.

Interment was made in the Lusk cemetery. The pall bearers were Leon Van Tassell, A. F. Vogel, Jack McFarlane, Frank Knittle, A. E. Guibault, and C.E. Hunter.

Besides her husband and children, she is survived by her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Alex Mashek, Salt Creek; two brothers, Joe and Arthur Mashek of Glenrock, and four sisters, Grace Mashek, Salt Creek, Vernice Blagg, Mexico, Mo.; Irene Sheehan, Lander; Dorothy Mashek, Salt Creek. Also a number of aunts and uncles and cousins live in Lusk and vicinity. All the immediate relatives attended the funeral except Mrs. Vernice Blagg of Missouri.
