Earl R. Quigley

Services for Earl R. Quigley, age 79, was held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Peet Mortuary Chapel. Rev. Tom Vaughn officiated. Burial followed in the Lusk Cemetery.

Mr. Quigley died Monday, December 2, 1989, at the Mountain View Hospital in Denver, Colorado. He was born April 18, 1909, 10 miles west of Central City, Nebraska, in a sod house, to Roy and Nettie Quigley. The family moved to the Lusk area in 1919. Mr. Quigley finished school here. He owned and operated the Quigley Trucking Company. After his marriage in 1940 to Marie Zerbst, they settled on the ranch two miles south of Lusk. They lived on and ran the ranch until he retired in 1973 following his wife's death. Mr. Quigley then lived on the ranch by himself until his illness took him to Denver for medical care.

Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include a son, Charles E. Quigley of Federal Heights, Colorado; his step-mother Lucy Slagle of Lusk; and a cousin, Cliff Wise of Pine Bluffs, Wyo.
