Mrs. Agnes Mauch Edwards Passes Away, Thursday

Just as The Herald is going to press, word comes of the death of Mrs. Agnes Mauch Edwards, who passed away at the Lusk Hospital at 3:00 o'clock this (Thursday) afternoon.

Mrs. Edwards was operated upon Monday afternoon for an infected gall bladder and the operation appeared successful, but her constitution was unable to withstand the effects of the infection causing her death.

She had been a sufferer from this ailment for several years, and the operation was a last resort in the hope of saving her life.

Five years ago her first husband was killed near Newcastle when a truck he was driving overturned. She was married to Mr. Dan Edwards in January of this year. Besides her husband she is survived by four daughters, Marie, Martha, Esther and Ruth Mauch.

Mrs. Edwards was formerly Miss Agnes Hitz, and is survived by a number of brothers and sisters residing in this county. No funeral arrangements will be announced until Friday.
