MRS. JACOB MILL, LUSK PIONEER, DIES THURSDAY

Passes Away at Home of Daughter in Glenrock, After Brief Illness

Mrs. Philiphena Mill, wife of Jacob Mill, pioneer residents of Niobrara county, died at 4:00 o'clock Thursday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Stewart Boyd, in Glenrock after an illness of about two years of stomach trouble.

While Mrs. Mill had been in poor health for some time, and had been taking treatments for about two years, her death came as a distinct shock to her host of friends in this section of Wyoming, who believed she was on the road to recovery.

Mrs. Mill had been in Casper for about two weeks, taking treatment from a physician there, and was believed so much improved that she went to the home of her daughter in Glenrock.

She had undergone treatment in a hosptal in Aliance, Neb., and last fall spent some time in Denver under care of a specialist, but failed to find relief for her ailment.

The end came rather unexpectedly at 4:00 o'clock Thursday morning, surrounded by her entire family.

The remains will be shipped to Lusk this evening, arriving here on the 10 o'clock Northwestern. Funeral services will be held here Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from St. George's Episcopal Church.

Mrs. Mill is one of the pioneer residents of this section of Wyoming, having come here about forty years ago.

Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Christina B. Cook of Hat Creek, and Mrs. Stewart Boyd of Glenrock; and three sons, David, William and George Mill, all of Lusk.
