Mrs. Ina Kinney Dies Friday; Funeral Monday

Mrs. Ina Kinney, 77, resident of Lusk and vicinity since 1929 died at the Wilson Nursing Home in Douglas Friday following a lingering illness.

Requiem High Mass was held Monday from St. Leo's Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Cornelius O'Conner officiating. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery. Rosary Services were held Sunday evening.

Music was furnished by the Catholic Church choir.

Pallbearers were: Ben Wolfe, LeRoy Schaeffer, Garry McFarlane, Robert McFarlane, Gene McCoy and Terry Larson.

Honorary pallbearers were: Harry Austin, Mike Cordell, Carl Bruch, Paul Pfister, Joe Pfister, and W. D. Wasserburger.

Ina Adelia Wise was born November 8, 1886 at Harlan, Iowa the daughter of Frank and Effie Wise. She moved with her parents to Madison, Nebr. and later to Osceola, Nebr. In 1904 the family moved to Bartlett, Nebr. where Mrs. Kinney taught in the rural schools.

June 21, 1906 she and John Martin Kinney were married at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Spalding, Nebr., they lived there for 16 years. Before moving to a farm near Lusk, in 1929, they farmed near Primrose and Cushing, Nebr.

In 1936 they moved to Lusk where she lived until she was recently moved to the Nursing Home in Douglas. Mr. Kinney died in 1952.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Ralph McFarlane of Lusk, Mrs. Levi Schaffer of Mills, Wyo. and Mrs. Henry Lewis of Gillette; one son, Ambrose Kinney of Lusk; 17 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

Out of town relatives attending were: Mr. and Mrs. Will White, Mr. and Mrs. Levi Schaffer, Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Wolfe and children, Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Schaffer and son, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Lattea and family, Mrs. James Sides and children and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lewis and daughter.
