Iva P. Wilson Pioneer Woman Service Held

Funeral services for Iva Belle Wilson, 80, was held at the Peet Chapel in Lusk Friday at 2:00 p.m.

The service was conducted by the Rev. Fred Bolinger with Russell Olmsted singing, "Abide With Me" and "Beyond the Sunset," accompanied by Mr. J. P. Watson.

Casket bearers were Ernie Hansen, Henry Klemke, Andy Newcombe, Joe Vaughan, A. F. DeCastro and Dave Shepard. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.

Iva Belle Fenner was born to Henry and Emma Lapham Fenner August 6, 1892, at Luvern, Minn. She died February 11 at Lusk after a short illness.

Mrs. Wilson was married to Fred L. Paige November 26, 1908, and they were the parents of two children, Fred Leon and Emma Elizabeth.

On April 12, 1914, she married Ray O. Wilson at Lusk. A son, Merton H. and daughter Gertrude M. were born. After Mr. Wilson's death she made her home for many years at Douglas.

She is survived by a son, Merton of Casper and Lybia, Africa; two daughters, Emma Paige Fillerup of Acme and Gertrude Wilson Ruffing of Lusk; two sisters, Mrs. Susan Fleming of Collville, Wash. and Mrs. Florence Hennebeck of Roseburg, Ore. and a brother, Roland Fenner of Mansfield, Wash.; 9 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Wilson was a pioneer, homesteading in this county in early 1900. As most pioneers, she lived a common life, expecting little and giving much of herself, says her family. Her last request was to be buried in the dress she wore when she was married and when she was baptized.

Iva P. Wilson Service to Be Fri. Afternoon

Funeral service will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the Peet Chapel for Mrs. Iva Wilson, 80, who died Sunday morning at the Niobrara Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Wilson is survived by a son Merton H. Wilson, Casper, and two daughters, Mrs. Emma Fillerup, Acme, and Mrs. Albert Ruffing, Lusk.
