Concluding Rites for Ray O. Wilson Sunday Afternoon, Aug. 19; I.O.O. F. Confer Rites; Burial in Lusk Cemetery

Last services were held for the late Raymond O. Wilson, who passed away Thursday, Aug. 16th, at the family home in Casper, at four o'clock, Sunday afternoon, August 19th.

Rev. Frank Bozart, pastor of the Open Bible Church of Lusk officiated at the services and members of Custer Lodge No. 21, I.O.O.F. conferred, its ritualistic ceremony, at the Chapel of the Peet Funeral Home. George Gibson sang a solo "The Last Roundup" and Mesdames Emerson Bonner and Carl Peterson sang "It Is Well With My Soul," with Mrs. Ab DeCastro presiding at the organ.

Interment was made in the Lusk Cemetery with John Lorenzen, Ab DeCastro, Jim Mudra, Don Paisley, Kenneth Hawkins, and Amund Thurstonson as pallbearers. Honorary bearers were Otis Bump, Ralph Olinger, Thos. O. Miller, William D. Miller Ralph McFarlane, William Hawkins, Frank Knittle and Roy Beard.

Raymond Otis Wilson was born April 9, 1884 in Newton, Iowa to Marcellus H. and Minerva (Marrs) Wilson. When he was four years old his parents moved to Chadron, Nebr. and when he was 12 years of age, they moved to Lusk, Wyo.

In April 1914, he was united in marriage to Iva Penner Paige at Lusk. They were the parents of two children, a son Merton H. and a daughter, Gertrude M. He was a rancher and cowboy in his early years, later working for the Northwestern Railroad. In 1943, he moved to Casper where he lived at the time of his death.

Survivors include his wife, Iva, his son, Merton of Brush, Colo. his daughter, Gertrude M. Ruffing and a step-daughter, Emma P. Rood, both of Lusk; nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and one sister, Gertrude Daly who resides at Chewelah, Wash.

Raymond O. Wilson Dies at Casper

Raymond O. Wilson, 72, of Casper and former Lusk resident, died the evening of August 16 of a heart attack while attending the county fair at Casper. He was a retired rancher and railroader.

Funeral services were held Sunday, August 19th at 4:00 p.m. in the Peet chapel, the Reverend Frank Bozart of the Open Bible Standard Church, and the Odd Fellow Lodge officiating. George Gibson sang "The Last Roundup" and Mrs. Emerson Bonner and Mrs. Carl Peterson sang "It Is Well My Soul. " Mrs. A. F. DeCastro was organist. Active pallbearers were John Lorenzen, A. F. DeCastro, Jim Mudra, Don Paisley, Kenneth Hankins and Amund Thurstensen.

Honorary pallbearers were Otis Bump, Ralph Olinger, Tom Miller, Bill Miller, Ralph McFarlane, William Hawkins, Frank Knittle, and Roy Beard.

He was a member of the Custer Lodge, No. 21, having joined that order at the age of 22.
