Frank Wilson Dies Suddenly Sept. 29

Death came suddenly to Frank H. Wilson, Thursday evening, September 29, about 9:00 o'clock, at the Lusk Hospital, where he had been taken following a heart attack a few hours earlier at his home here.

Mr. Wilson had been a resident of this community for the past 53 years. Coming to Wyoming in 1896, he was engaged in the sawmill business with his father, M. H. Wilson, the first location of the sawmill being at the Rawhide Buttes.

Later he settled on a ranch north of Lusk, where he and his wife lived until five years ago when they retired and moved into Lusk to make their home.

However, he spent much of his time after moving to town going back and forth to the ranch, as he was always happier when doing the things he had done in former years.

Francis Howard Wilson was the son of Marcellus H. and Minerva C. Wilson. He was born March 27, 1876, in Jasper County, Newton, Iowa.

When 12 years of age, in the year 1888, he came to Chadron, Neb. with his parents and then eight years later the family came to Wyoming. On September 3, 1936, he was married to Mary B. Wills who survives him.

Funeral services were conducted from the Peet Chapel on Sunday afternoon at two o'clock, by Rev. Lawrence Juell. The songs, "In the Garden," "Abide With Me," and "It is Well With My Soul, " were sung by Mrs. Emerson Bonner and Mrs. Edna DeCastro, accompanied on the chapel organ by Mr. J. P. Watson.

Interment was made in the Lusk cemetery, with the following long time friends and neighbors conveying the last remains to the last resting place: Roy Beard, Charles Heumier, Arthur Thompson, Roy Turnbull, Emil Klemke and William D. Miller.

Besides his wife, surviving are one sister, Mrs. Gertrude Daley of Spokane, Wash., and one brother, Ray Wilson of Casper, Wyo. Two nieces also reside in Lusk, Mrs. Albert Ruffing and Mrs. Chris Jassman.

Out-of-town friends and relatives here for the service were Mr. and Mrs. Ray Wilson and Marvin Wilson and son of Casper; and Mr. and Mrs. Merton Wilson and children of Powell, Wyo.; Austin Swain, a brother of Mrs. Wilson, and his two sons, Raymond and Golson Swain, all of Uttumwa, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Swain and two daughters and their husbands all of Wheatland.
