Funeral services for Margarett Iola Heine, 81, were held Thur., April 24, 2014, at Pier Funeral Home in Lusk, with Pastor Tom Strock officiating. Interment followed in the Dellview Cemetery at Manville, Wyo. She passed away Mon., April 21, 2014, at Goshen Care Center in Torrington.
Margarett was born Nov. 27, 1932, in Jireh, Wyoming, to Herman Sebastion and Cora May (Swope) Leeling. She graduated from Manville High School. She married Elbert E. 'Al' Heine Nov. 23, 1951 in Lusk. They stayed on his family's ranch until they purchased the James Kaper ranch north of Manville in 1955. Margarett and Al were parents to five children. They enjoyed working their ranches until Al's death in 1997.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elbert; siblings Anna Belle Leeling, Edna Outhouse, Cleo Peterson, and Warren Leeling; eldest daughter, Alana 'Susie' Hayes; grandson Jonathan Hayes; and two great-grandsons, Drewin Elfren Pulido and Jace Dean Sassman.
Survivors are her children: Duaine 'Sam' Heine of Beach, North Dakota; Lorraine Moore and Deborah Sassman of Ranchester, Wyoming; and Lisa Tanner of Lusk; eleven grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren.
