Kenneth Hughes Funeral Thursday

Funeral mass was held for Kenneth Wilkins Hughes last Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Leo's Catholic Church in Lusk, with the Rev. Cornelius O'Connor officiating. Burial was in the Lusk cemetery.

Kenneth Wilkins Hughes was born to Elizabeth and John Hughes, the youngest of 13 children, at Randolph, Nebr., January 8, 1898.

He came to Wyoming, settling at the Flattop area, except for 10 years that he spent in the Sunrise area.

Mr. Hughes married Marie Fahy, June 15, 1919. They were the parents of three children, Margretta McKenna, Santa Rosa, Calif.; Helen Scheman, New Ulm, Minn.; and John Hughes of Cheyenne.

Survivors are his wife, Marie, his son and two daughters; 12 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two sisters, Mollie McCormick, Lusk; Sue Buchannon, Randolph, Nebr., and a brother Victor of Riverton and numerous nieces and nephews.

Over 50 out-of-town relatives and friends were among those attending the services.

Kenneth Hughes Found Dead Mon.

Kenneth Wilkins Hughes, 68, of Keeline was found dead at his ranch home Monday.

Rosary services will be this Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. at the Peet Chapel. Funeral mass will be 10:00 a.m. at St. Leo's Catholic Church of Lusk, this Thursday with the Rev. Cornelius O'Connor officiating. Burial will be in the Lusk cemeery.

Honorary bearers will be Don Smith, Jess McCormick, Henry Wasserburger, Harold Fay, Bill Fay, Andy Schaeffer, Leiper Vanelli, Emery Gaukel, Clyde Blackmore, Bud Hoblit, Lee Nix, Everett Brooks, Joe Kuhn, Ernest Robinson, Frank Scnodrich, Lloyd Tschacher, Edward Tschacher and Glen Gorman.

Casket bearers will be Gilbert Hughes, Edward Hughes, Elmer Johnson, V.J. Kennedy, Lewis Bowen and Doyle Blackmore.

Survivors are his wife, Marie, one son, John Harold of Cheyenne, two daughters, Mrs. Margretta McKenna of California and Mrs. Helen Mae Sheaman of Minnesota.
