Eugene S. Starrett
Eugene Starrett Services Wed.
Eugene S. Starrett, who died at his ranch home in the Flat Top community October 4 was buried in Douglas last Wednesday.
Mr. Starrett was born at Clark's, Nebr., August 22, 1880, the son of S. E. and Mary Agnes Starrett.
At an early age Mr. Starrett went to Lincoln, Nebr., where he was employed in a wholesale house.
Later he moved to St. Libory, Nebr. where he owned and operated a grocery store. Here he and Anna B. Fahy were married and lived until bringing their family to Wyoming. They purchased a ranch in the Flat Top Community.
Besides ranching Mr. Starrett had many other interests, he was county Commissioner for Platte County, sold insurance for North Western Life, owned businesses in Hartville and Guernsey. Mr. and Mrs. Starrett lived two years in Portland, Ore., before returning to the ranch where they were living at the time of his death.
