Troy J. Shrum
Former Lusk Man Troy Shrum Dies.
Troy J. Shrum, formerly of Lusk, died Tuesday, Aug. 10, in Elko, Nev.
He and his wife, Bernice were on a sightseeing trip when he suffered a severe seizure at Battle Mountain, Nev. Facilities there being insufficient, he was rushed by ambulance to Elko, where he died the following morning.
Burial was in the Chapel of the Chimes Cemetery in Hayward, Calif., Friday, Aug. 13.
Mr. Shrum was the son of Lee H. and Leona Shrum, who lived on a farm in the Divide country north of Lusk for many years. He was graduated from Lusk High School with the class of 1925 and attended the University of Wyoming.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Glen.
Surviving are his wife Bernice of the family home in San Leandro, Calif.; his daughter, Mrs. Barbara Bowen and one grandson of San Jose, Calif.; his sister Mrs. Pauline Lewis of Denver; two brothers, Howard Shrum of Sheridan and Lee Shrum of Gaylord, Mich.
