Sharon L. Fosher

Funeral services for Sharon L. Fosher, age 60, of Lusk, were held May 15 at the Niobrara County High School Auditorium in Lusk, with Pastor Gary Walker as officiant.

Sharon died May 12, 1999, at the Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff, Neb., after a courageous battle with cancer.

Sharon was born October 16, 1938, in Shelby Mont. to A. A. and Berniece Moorhead Chevalier. She was raised and went to school in the Cody area.

She married Theodore Sparks on October 16, 1954. They made their home at Grass Creek, Wyo., later moving to Thermopolis, until 1974 when they moved to Lance Creek and then to Lusk. Theodore died in February 1982.

On June 2, 1983, she married "the man that stole her heart", Raimie Fosher, at the Forest Mound Chapel in Jay Em, Wyoming. Her family then grew to nine children. Sharon loved her family most of all and she enjoyed her work, her arts and crafts and her music.

She is survived by her husband, Raimie, of Lusk; nine children: daughters, Darr Lea (Mel) Walker of Worland; Cindy (Charlie) Bredthauer of Gillette; Karen (Patrick Sutton) Hart of Casper; Tana (Allen) Inman of Loveland, Colo.; and Robin (Mark) Nelson of Brush Prairie. Wash; sons Theodore (Cindy) Sparks. Jr. of Omaha, Neb.; Monte (Gail) Fosher of Crown Point, Ind.; Corky and daughter-in-law Linda Fosher, who she considered a daughter of Lusk, and Matt (Becky) Fosher of Greeley, Colo.; 29 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; one brother, Ronald Chevalier; three sisters; Deanna Jones, Mary Wright and Carrie Dobbins and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, one nephew Chuckie, and one granddaughter Shania Rae.

Pallbearers were her grandsons; Cory Fosher, Casey Fosher, Eric Nelson, Christopher Inman, Brandon Inman, Chester Hart, Sam Sparks, Shane Sparks, Alexander Bredthauer and Tyler Walker

A memorial has been established to the Niobrara Senior Center.

Bader Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
