Mrs. Richard Price Of Flattop Dies

Mrs. Mildred Price, 41, wife of Richard G. Price, died at their ranch home west of Glendo, Saturday morning, Oct. 18, from a heart condition from which she had suffered for some time.

Fueral services were conducted from the Peet Chapel Tuesday afternoon with the Rev. F. C. Doctor, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, officiating. Music was furnished by Mrs. Emerson Bonner and Mrs. A. F. DeCastro, singing "Abide With Me," and "Asleep In Jesus." Mrs. Don Unruh was the organist.

Burial was made in the Lusk Cemetery and casket bearers were Clayton Russell, Clark Fritz, J. C. Bright and Robert Daly of the Glendo community, and Gene Bass and Elmer Johnson of the Flattop community.

Mrs. Mildred Marie Price, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Rice of Lusk, was born on Apr. 30, 1911 in New Castle, Dixon Co., Nebr. She was baptized on May 11, 1911 in the West Creek Lutheran Church near New Castle. Later she was instructed and confirmed in the Lutheran faith in St. Paul's Lutheran Church at Lusk, and remained a member of this congregation all her life.

She came to Niobrara County, Wyo. with her parents in 1911 and received her elementary education in the public school near the parental homestead. In the fall of 1924 the Rices moved to Lusk where Mildred attended high school and was graduated in June 1927. Following her graducation from high school she attended the State Teachers' College at Chadron for one year.

For many years she taught in the elementary schools of Goshen, Niobrara and Platte counties, Wyo.

On July 2, 1937 she married Richard George Price of Flattop. Two children were born to them, George Richard, 14, and Dianne Marie, 9.

She is survived by her husband, the two children, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Rice of Lusk, one sister, Mrs. Clara Fullerton, of Riverton, and one brother, Willis John Rice of Chadron.

Among the out-of-town relatives here to attend the funeral services were Mr. and Mrs. Willis Rice and family of Chadron, Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Fullerton and family of Riverton, Mr. and Mrs. Fred L. Smith and family of Sunrise, Mr. and Mrs. L. L. Moore of Wheatland, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Siebert of Alliance, Nebr., Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Wendte of Ponca, Nebr., Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Price and family; Mr. and Mrs. Lumir Peltz, Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Antenucci, and Miss Joanne Price, all of Oklahoma.
