F. Herman Stellpflug

Memorial services for F. Herman Stellpflug, 68, were Tuesday, Oct. 29, 1996, at the Platte Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Mark Lohr of Lusk officiating.

Burial will take place at a later date.

Memorials are to the American Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, in care of the Platte Funeral Chapel, P.O. Box 816, Wheatland, Wyo. 82201.

Stellpflug, a resident of Fort Laramie, died Oct. 25, 1996, at the Platte County Memorial Hospital in Wheatland, following a sudden illness.

He was born March 31, 1928, in Wauneta to Frank and Rebecca Stellpflug.

In 1939, the family moved to Guernsey, where he completed his education.

He married Gladys Erlewine June 1, 1965, in Gering, Neb.

They lived in various places until moving to the valley in January of 1968.

They made their home in Fort Laramie in 1975.

He worked for Plains Lumber as a carpenter until his retirement in 1988.

He was a member and deacon of the Freewill Baptist Church of Torrington for a number of years.

The cattle he raised were his hobby. He will be greatly missed by all.

Survivors include his wife of Fort Laramie; children Kay Morgan of Guernsey and Lloyd Packard of Scottsbluff, Neb.; sisters and brothers Rebecca Simon, Martha Eversoll, and Eldon Stellpflug all of Cheyenne, Dolly Stevens, Glenn Stellpflug and Clarence Stellpflug, all of Guernsey, and Frank Stellpflug of Torrington; granddaughters Rebecca Ochs of Torrington, Adrianna and Serina Packard of Scottsbluff; grandson Richard Cunningham of Torrington; great grandsons and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Floyd Stellpflug; and sisters Mary Ann Stellpflug and Elsie Noe.

The Platte Funeral Chapel of Wheatland was in charge of arrangements.
