Last Rites Are Held Friday for Louis Larson

Many friends gathered at the Peet Chapel on Friday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock to pay their last respects to Louis Theodore Larson who passed away at the Spencer Hospital Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 11, from the effects of a second heart attack which he had suffered within a ten day period.

Rev. Lawrence P. Juell, pastor of the Congregational Church, conducted the funeral service and the songs, "It is Well With My Soul" and "Beyond the Sunset" were sung by Mrs. H, J, Templeton, Mrs. I. J. Reiste and Rex Yocum, accompanied by Mrs. Gerald Bardo

The remains were laid to rest in the family plot in the Lusk cemetery and were conducted to their final resting place by Roy Turnbull, Herbert Sabin, C. P. Owen, George Gibson, Bunt Alter and Menno Kaan.

Louis Theodore Larson was born July 2, 1867, at Eie, Norway, the son of Lars Tonneson Eie and Grete Olson Eie. He came to the United States while a young man and lived in the land of his adoption the remainder of his life.

At Fosston, Minn., he was married to Miss Betsy Olson, and they were the parents of seven children, three sons having preceded their father in death. Mrs. Larson died in 1939.

The family moved Wyoming in 1912 and located on land nine miles northeast of Lusk.

Surviving Mr. Larson is a son, Oscar Larson of Associated, Cal., and three daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Wilson of Dallas, Texas; Mrs. Lillian Seanor of Bakersfield, Calif., and Mrs. Louise Cates of Lusk, a sister Mrs. Hannah Boerth of Fargo, North Dakota, and six grandchildren: Robert and Betty Wilson, Billy Seanor, Paul and Charles Larson, and Bobby Cates.

Mrs. Gertrude Hansen, Mrs. Agnes Burge and Mrs. Carrie Brown all of Lusk, are nieces of the deceased.

All of the children were here for the services.
