Pioneer Of Kirley vicinity Is Called To Final Rest Monday

Mrs. Louis T. Larson, 74, well known Lusk pioneer, passed away Monday, June 5th, 4:00 p.m. at the ranch home 8 miles northeast of Lusk, after a lingering illness of several years.

The funeral was held at the Peet Chapel Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Millard Marshall officiating.

A mixed quartet composed of Mrs. Hungate, Mr. Dougherty, Mrs. Templeton, and Mrs. Taylor sang three songs, "Abide With Me," "Nearer My God to Thee," and "The Old Rugged Cross." Mrs. Koeberlin accompanied at the piano.

C.P. Owens, Lynn McKinnis, Albion Lind, Roy Turnbull, Conrad Larson, and Bunt Alter were pallbearers.

Some of those from out of town who attended the services were: Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Schroeder, of Torrington; Mr. and Mrs. Chet Wilson, and daughter, Betty and son Bob, from Gering, Nebr.; Mr. Oscar Larson of Associated, Calif.; Mrs. Lillian Seanor of Bakersfield, Calif.; and Mr. and Mrs. Pete Brown of Cheyenne, Wyo.

Mrs. Larson was laid to rest in the Lusk Cemetery and will be well remembered as the mother of Mrs. Louise Cates of Lusk.

Bendikte L. Oleson was born at Flekke, Norway on December 8, 1864. She came to the United Stattes in 1891 and located at Fargo, No. Dakota.

In 1894 she was united in marriage to Lewis T. Larson and they established their home at Fauston, Minnesota where they resided until 1911 when they came to Wyoming and located on a farm 8 miles northeast of Lusk.

To this couple were born four sons and three daughters. Three sons preceded Mrs. Larson in death. She is survived by her husband, one son, Oscar of Associated, Calif., three daughters: Mrs. Gertrude Wilson, of Gering, Nebr.; Mrs. Louise Cates of Lusk and Mrs. Lillian Seanor of Bakersfield, Calif.

Mrs. Larson was a devoted wife and mother, and much loved by her family and many friends, who will mourn her passing.
