Lola L. Mangus
Funeral services for Lola L. Mangus, age 91, will be held Friday, May 12, 1995, at 2 p.m. at the Congregational Church in Lusk. Burial will be at the Lusk Cemetery.
Mrs. Mangus died Monday, May 8, 1995, at Castle Rock Convalescent Center in Green River.
She was born July 18, 1903 in Manhattan, Kan., the second daughter of Charles and Dorothy Matter. She attended school in Manhattan and graduated from Kansas State College in 1924. She taught public school music in Kanorado, Kan.
On July 4, 1926, she married Clarence Mangus. To this union one daughter, Emily Jane, was born.
Lola was a past matron of Eastern Star. She played the organ at the Douglas First Congregational Church and the Catholic Church of Douglas.
In addition to her love of music, she was an avid bridge player.
Mrs. Mangus was preceded in death by her husband Clarence, and her daughter, Jane.
She is survived by her grandson, Rick Kaan of Harrison, Neb.; her granddaughter, Janet Cunninghan of Rock Springs; and her son-in-law, Cecil Kaan of Lusk.
Memorials to the Niobrara County Senior Center would be appreciated by the family. Bader Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
